E.C.E.S is focused on the development of the soccer player, aiming to improve all aspects of the physical, mental, technical, and tactical elements according to the latest scientific directions and the current stage of development.


Within this concept, training sessions are programmed according to the needs of each age group focusing mainly on the parameters that are correctly trained (age – trainability). This approach is performed based on the level of the youth soccer players progressing from simple to more complex activities with the appropriate methodology.


It has been recognized that the ideal period for training, not only for technical, technical-tactical qualities and cognitive capacity, but as well as several/specific physical abilities (i.e. coordination, balance etc.) is between the first and second growth spurt (between 9-10 and 13-14)


Our programs are created, based on the strengths and weaknesses of the individual, and the specific needs to accompany the player. We have the necessary knowledge and experience to develop the high-level modern player.


Our professional coaches train national and international professional players who play at the highest level. Our aim is to assist boys & girls of all ages committed to improvement and success. We offer personal and group training sessions.


Based on the age specific methodology, we will provide the players with the proper training program in order to train/increase the following parameters efficiently in a high level according to each age group:



Agility is of vital importance to soccer players. Exercises such as sprinting into space should not just be trained in straight lines, but with change of direction varying from 90 -180°


A desired attribute in modern football, most often connected to genetic characteristics related to the nervous system and muscle fibers. It should be trained at a early age with youngsters when the nervous system is adaptable.

It is important to find opportunities to include speed or speed strength elements in every training session for young players. Speed at an early age is combined with drills without and with the ball. Define the type of speed and the form of training: Cyclic or acyclic speed – integrated or isolated form

The first scientific based opportunity for speed training comes at the age of 7-9 years. The second, comes at around the ages of 13 and 15-16 years for boys (N.B. for young girls, the ideal age for speed training is between 13 and 14 years)




Strength training has become an integral part of modern football, with specific strength characteristics adapted to the sport. Even among youngsters in training, strain on the muscles is an integral part of the training, particularly with the aim of achieving balanced physical development.

The recommended age for dedicated strength training is about 12 to 20 months after peak growth (i.e. around 15-16 years for boys and 13-14 for girls, which tends to coincide with the beginning of menstruation), but with lighter loads to start with.

  • Exercises for the core muscles (upper body) are indispensable for children, as early as 9-10 years (isometrics).
  • The period of pre-puberty (12 to 14 years) is ideal for developing strength generally (harmonious construction).
  • The muscle strengthening method (conditioning-stabilization) is recommended for this first phase, as well as learning about strength training with the isometric form being the initial priority.
  • Gradually, around the age of 15-16 years depending on the players’ level, training with light loads (50-60% of body weight).


  • In order to create good adult athletes, it is of primary importance that the complete and harmonic development of motor abilities at an early age. Most importantly, the specific age-related ones in each phase of the athlete’s body development.
  • Many researchers have noted that control over balance and posture paces the emergence of all other skills such as technical ability.
  • Evidence from prospective studies supports the notion that balance training can be a worthwhile adjunct to the usual training of non-elite athletes and YOUNG ATHLETES to enhance certain motor skills



Coordination: an essential quality in the control of the body, which demonstrates the interaction between the nervous system and the muscles during the execution of a movement. Good coordination enables a faster and more effective learning of psychomotor skills. Coordination is the basis for learning technical movements. It should be worked on in training from an early age and is best taught between the ages of 8 and 13 years adolescents during a period of rapid growth.



Mostly all mentioned components are trained with the ball. This is an important part of soccer specific adaptation where the brain-body co-ordination is developed.

High school program:

Goal: To enable the player to compete and excel in a competitive environment, and to prepare adequately for the next stage of his/her career.

We create a training environment, which enables the individual to work in a correct manner.

Our sessions ensure the player works on his /her strength, power and speed while improving the technical aspects of his/her game. We focus on the following components:

U 11 –U 15:

Goal: Training and dealing with the player’s growth spur. Age specific training, with increased endurance, technical and tactical work. Increase mental elements and preparation for competitive environments.


Training sessions will include complex progressions of technical components in accordance to the level of the player. We will focus on the reaction and correct motor skills needed to perform soccer specific actions.

Although technical and tactical trainings are not part of the physical part of soccer, both parameters are directly and indirectly affected by physical fitness parameters (such as balance, coordination, strength, speed, proprioception endurance etc.) emphasizing the importance of proper conditioning according to age trainability.


U 9 – U 11:

Goal: Teaching the player to train correctly while using repetitive exercises to instill certain habits. Motivation and creativity are important aspects of developing the player. Basic motor skills are essential to the soccer related movements needed to play.

Training sessions should stimulate the player to focus and enjoy the speed, flexibility, agility and skill training needed. Training skills are developed and progressed as the player improves.
