Professional Trials

E.C.E-Soccer works with various residential academies  to host players from North America looking to experience training and experience a different lifestyle through soccer at the highest level.

We offer the opportunity for players aged 17-22 to train with residential academies or participate in training camps where players will play friendly matches against professional academies.  Players are assessed collectively and individually and development and trial opportunities are afforded to all boys at there current level.

During my two weeks in Portugal I learned a lot and saw many differences between playing in Portugal and the European lifestyle compared to North America. The actual speed of playing in Portugal was a lot more intense and higher paced.

It also required very fast decision-making. Also, as was expected, very high levels of tactical understanding and technical capabilities were needed as well. Moreover, I learned how professional training sessions are set up and run, as well as video analysis and pre-match training sessions.

 In addition to that, the overall lifestyle of the people here is so much different. From a very young age kids play soccer and I saw that first hand when I played on the street with some kids. People live and breathe the game in Portugal and begin development and playing constantly from a very young age. Overall, my experience was great and I have a lot to take away from my trip to Belenenses.
